OYAN is a platform that supports protesters by helping them coordinate and organize the demonstrations using GPS and Bluetooth technology and decentralized internet. An interactive map is also included to display area safety status, ongoing protest-related medias, as well as a bluetooth live chat function for participants to communicate in the situation while Internet is not available.

Protests play an important part in the civil, political, economic, social and cultural life of all societies. They inspire positive social change and the advancement of human rights in all parts of the world.

"Oyan", in Kazakh menas, “Wake up”. The series of protests that broke out in Kazakhstan at the beginning of this summer was tagged as #oyan protests. By using this tag, the political activists and other protest participants agitated the citizens to finally start taking actions towards making a political statement, rather than hide or stay quiet about the issues.

From our research of protests happened before and current happening, we narrowed down our target users as young demonstration participaters.
